This month we are entering yet another series of challenging
energies. On April 15 comes the first of a series of lunar
eclipses meant to turn our focus upon our own lives. It is
so much easier to see the faults and poor choices others
make! The intensity of these eclipses places spiritual
blinders on us, so that we must turn inward, away from the
doings of others, and ask questions about our own priorities
and choices.
Below is an essay that explores this issue within the
context of Creative Spiritual Cycles. You may also want to

Saturday, April 12 at 8pm EDT for a Candlelight Meditation

Recognize
and Utilize your Creative Cycles
Don't you love the elation you experience after completing a
major event in your life? Finishing a big work project,
participating in a sports event, preparing and teaching a
workshop…all of these are the manifestation, or
physical phase of the creative process. Whether or not you
deemed the outcome successful, you still created this event
using a specific system of creation. Consciously
understanding how this system works lets us manifest more
easily, often with results that are closer to what we
desire, using the cycles of creation within both Spirit and
Nature.
This essay came through in response to a very successful
client voicing the desire to adjust her career path but not
knowing what that adjustment would be. Despite receiving the
'fame and fortune' she had dreamed of, she just was not
happy doing what she was doing. As I reflected on her
situation, I realized many of my clients were in the same
situation.
Dissatisfaction with anything in our life indicates that we
are ready for change. People who are highly creative and
self-aware are excellent at noticing small discomforts in
their lives. These discomforts may not register at a
conscious level, but may be felt as kinesthetic body
sensations or perceived as heaviness, static or a general
sense of uneasiness. Internally we may feel something is
'off', and at some point we realize a lessening of passion
and joy.
In my experience, this is your psychic radar sensing an
impending change. There are spiritual energies afoot to
bring something new into your life. This change comes about
as a result of the spiritual shifts you are making. As you
learn more about the Cycle of Spiritual Creation, you will
engage differently with each phase of the process.
Here is a basic idea of the Cycle of Spiritual Creation:
WATER - AIR - EARTH - FIRE - ETHER
THE WATER PHASE OF CREATION
Water symbolizes our own unconscious and our
collective unconsciousness with all that surrounds us. A
drop of your soul, your essence, lies within this greater
ocean of unconsciousness. I sense this ocean within the
First Dimension of our reality. I refer to this ocean as The
Pure Energy of Nature. All potential - events,
beings, stars and planets, indeed, all that we know of in
our Universe - has a drop of its essence here, within The
Pure Energy of Nature. The combined drops of all that exists
within our Universe, and of all creative potential, make up
The Pure Energy of Nature. Whatever our soul wants to create
begins here, within this ocean of potentiality.
When our soul desires to manifest something into our lives,
a drop of the essence of that manifestation is placed within
The Pure Energy of Nature. Much like homeopathy, in which a
substance is percussed (altered in vibration by precise
motions applied to it), the drop of our desire undergoes
spiritual percussing. This is the longest of the five cycles
within Spiritual Creation. A drop can be charged and left
here as potential for many years, or even many lifetimes,
before all that is needed for it to fully mature as a
manifestation is in place.
Trying to consciously influence this phase with mental
images or repetitive verbal phrases is like telling the
Earth that for today your will is greater than the will of
the rest of the Universe, and that therefore, the planet
should change its cosmic course. Within this phase of
Creation, we do not yet know the specific form that is
manifesting, nor does our soul. All potentiality and all
possibilities exist here simultaneously. This is indeed pure
potential.
THE AIR PHASE OF CREATION
Air is a symbol for Spirit. In this case, Spirit
refers to those spiritual beings of Nature who inhabit the
dimension directly beneath our Third Dimension. In the
Air phase of creation, the essential drop of
potential that we carefully placed into The Pure Energy of
Nature rises to the surface of the First Dimensional ocean.
It floats upon the ocean's surface and begins interacting
with the Nature Spirits, Nature Intelligences and other
elementals within the Second Dimension.
These spirits provide the blueprint for our physical form.
They are the energetic carpenters, general contractors, and
maintenance workers for all that comes into form. I use
Machaelle Small Wright's terms of "Nature Spirits" and
"Nature Intelligences," but others might use Faeries,
Nymphs, etc. Here in the Second Dimension are those
spiritual beings of Nature that literally keep the walls of
your room solid, let the stars shine as stars, and tell
electricity how to be electricity.
As our drop of our desire moves through this Creative Cycle
of Air, it moves more and more into our awareness. Spirit is
able to caress it, interact with it. Those beings within the
Second Dimension look upon this drop of potential and advise
beings in other dimensions how it might be constructed in
the Third Dimension, into physical form. As humans, we begin
to sense the rising drop, or movement of our soul's
creation. What is going on here? We sense that something is
different.
Sometimes we begin to apply our co-creative spiritual tools,
such as asking our angels and guides for help. This is all
part of the Air phase of manifestation coming into form.
Keep in mind that humanity is at the very beginning of its
journey back into co-creative consciousness. There is much
for us to learn!
Of course, as we are learning how to create, we sometimes
stumble. It is at this point, during the end of the
Creative Cycle of Air, where we are most likely to get in
the way of what our soul has planned for us.
We feel the potential for something to happen. Ideally, we
allow it to fully develop within the wisdom of the Nature
Spirits, Nature Intelligences and other beings who dwell
within the Second Dimension. But too often we become
impatient and try to push it into form. Instant
gratification is a hallmark of the human experience! But
following the Spiritual Cycles of Creation is a spiritual
lesson - in patience. Don't force the form to come yet. Let
it arrive on its own schedule. Similar to a bowel movement,
this process is best not rushed. It will arrive naturally in
its own time.
Too often we think that what we are creating exists just for
us in our own life. But whatever we create will also impact
others. When we wait for something to manifest at the right
time, then the other people or things that need to be
present will come into place. We are never creating alone.
That new job, getting your book published, creating your
rock band or buying the house you love…all are
dependent on others being in the right place at the right
time too.
The most common reason for us to not be able to manifest
something we deeply desire is that we are not waiting
patiently for the others involved in that creation. We may
feel that we are ready, but perhaps others have not yet
taken their place so that they can play their parts. 'When
the student is ready the teacher will appear.' In order to
sustain any creation in form, those who will support it must
also be in place. Sometimes, even though you believe you are
ready, you must wait for the Teacher to appear.
THE EARTH PHASE OF CREATION
As a symbol for physical form, Earth is the most
easily recognizable portion of the Cycles of Spiritual
Creation. After your soul's drop of potential has spent long
periods of time gestating in Water and Air, it is birthed
into form. The quality of this birth tends to be related to
your Spiritual awareness and attentiveness. There can be
great joy in this birth, but remember that sometimes our
soul also chooses to create sorrow as a means of deepening
its experience of itself.
While you have long wanted to see your desire manifest, it
may sometimes seem to arrive suddenly - so suddenly that you
don't believe it is really yours, or really the right time.
As our Third Dimension becomes less separated from the other
dimensions, energetic patterns can move more quickly and
easily into physical form. So, too, can our manifestations
move back out of form, back into another dimension, if those
other people and supportive aspects for our creative impulse
have not had a chance to properly situate themselves.
THE FIRE PHASE OF CREATION
We are very good at honoring the focus, time and attention
it takes to bring something into form. We all know we have
to study to pass an exam. We acknowledge that we have to
practice in order to play a musical instrument well. But we
as a culture are awful at recognizing the importance of the
last two cycles of Spiritual Creation: Releasing and
Blessing.
This is important even at the very mundane level: Releasing
the guides and angels that helped us find that parking
space, or releasing the guides and angels that supported us
during that presentation at work. Releasing the angels and
guides after singing a song at karaoke night or performing a
concert. Releasing those energetic presences that are
holding something in form. This is the Fire aspect of
creation.
One can release the Nature Spirits and Nature Intelligences
holding the walls, floors, etc. of a house in form before
beginning demolition or construction. This allows its
physical form to more easily change. Calling upon the Nature
Spirits and Nature Intelligences that relate to the new
structure likewise assists in its construction.
Releasing anything out of form frees the energies
that created it and actively supported it. The Nature
Spirits, Intelligences of Nature, and Devas that maintain
form desire to move back into spiritual energies once their
job is completed. Fire does not just consume physical
form - it releases what is associated with it into its own
dimension of vibration. This release feeds the spiritual
energies of each person or being associated with maintaining
the physical form.
When we allow the Fire aspect of creation, then all those
energies and beings associated with the now-released form
are available to move into a new Creative Cycle. The
energetic essence of the form can be placed back into The
Pure Energy of Nature, our shared ocean of potential.
Water is potential
Air is spirit
Earth is form
Fire is transmutation
Fire is a symbol for the process of transmutation
that must occur in order for anything to pass between
dimensions, or move from one quality of vibration into
another quality of vibration. Fire is also a symbol for the
Great Void, the space that exists between our 3rd dimension
and that of the heavenly or upper dimensions. Energetic
patterns that exist within The Void and the upper dimensions
vibrate a little faster than equivalent energetic patterns
in our Third Dimension of physical form.
One example of the activity within the Fire portion of the
cycle is how we the cooking of food. When the atoms of a
substance speed up, they become hot (imagine putting food in
a microwave). Add enough energy to a plate of food, and it
releases its watery contents as steam. Continue the process,
and the remaining solids blacken and become ash. The ash can
be placed in a garden to return its elements to the soil as
it naturally composts. This is the completion of the Fire
cycle. The action of composting, wherein ash breaks
down, returning its elements to nourish the soil, is
indicative of it moving into Ether.
If you throw a party or lead a workshop, the Fire phase of
the cycle involves cleaning up. Putting chairs away, placing
recycled plates and plastic bottles in bins, washing dishes,
and returning borrowed items are part of this. As you
undertake these actions, you are also unwinding the physical
patterns of the gathering. Chairs and tables being put away
also release those beings who were present during the
gathering. You are signaling to them, and to anyone who has
not yet headed for home, that the event is now ended. The
Earth phase of the event has come to a conclusion.
Writing a book or painting a picture is similar. At some
point the book must go to the editor for the last time, and
the picture must be hung on the wall. Letting a creation
move into the Fire phase can be intensely difficult if we
are unsatisfied with what we have created. Believing that it
isn't 'good enough' or that we can 'do better' keeps us from
completing our creative process. But it is the impetus we
receive from releasing each thing that actually brings the
impulse to manifest our next creation. It is today's compost
that brings nourishment to next year's garden. So, too, what
we release as "complete" frees us to move forward.
THE ETHER PHASE OF CREATION
As we release a creation from physical form, the energies
contained within it traverse the Great Void, and arrive into
the phase of Ether. In this metaphor, the movement of
physical form is symbolized by Fire. Its arrival in the
upper dimensions is its entrance into Ether. Ether is
a symbol for the commonly thought of realm of Heaven.
The energies of our creations do not dwell inertly in
Heaven. Rather they exist there, ready and eager to be drawn
upon again when our guides and angels help our soul decide
to create something more. The heavenly energies of previous
manifestations serve to create and nourish the next
essential drop of desire that our soul places within The
Pure Energy of Nature of the First Dimension.
And a new cycle of creation begins.

A Note on Phone Meditations and CDs of Meditations and
